We are pleased to announce that the St Erme Neighbourhood Development Plan was approved by residents at the Referendum held on 17th October 2019.
Our ‘Plan’ will make a difference to local people; it means that local views must be taken into consideration when planning decisions are made. Our Neighbourhood Development Plan will be part of the statutory development plan for the area. This statutory status gives our ‘Plan’ far more weight in planning decisions and sets out local level planning policies for our area, shaping the future development of our community.
The St Erme Neighbourhood Development Plan will ensure not only the right development happens in the right places in line with local need but is there to protect the character of the parish; to safe guard and enhance the natural and historical environment, to improve pedestrian and cycle links, support local businesses and services and protect and improve open spaces and community facilities.
